We’re recruiting an Advanced Backend Python Developer to create and implement APIs as well as robust data pipelines, API’s, and scalable software solutions with best-practice data architectures. We want you to leverage your leading expertise in API Development and Data Engineering, software development, and cloud technologies to design and optimize the data infrastructure for a highly complex, employee-facing data and analytics web application. Team players only, with emphasis on openness, honesty, reliability, and mature competency.
Due to client requirement, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.
Rate: $70 - $80 / hr. w2
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain high-performance, reliable APIs
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions
Implement security best practices to protect API endpoints and sensitive data
Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code
Create and maintain comprehensive API documentation
Participate in code reviews and contribute to architecture decisions
Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in production environments
Experience Requirements:
Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
7+ years of software development experience with a focus on
Python and backend systems
Strong proficiency in
Python / PySpark
programming (must have)
Extensive experience in
API development and implementation
(must have)
Expertise with
FastAPI.
Proven track record building and maintaining
RESTful APIs
Solid experience with
SQL databases
(PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server)
Experience with
Microsoft Azure & Databricks, Medallion Architecture
Strong understanding of
API security best practices
(OAuth 2.0, JWT authentication)
Experience with
containerization
(Docker) and orchestration tools
Proficiency in
automated testing
(pytest) for unit, integration, and API endpoint testing
Ability to create comprehensive
API documentation
using Swagger/OpenAPI

Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.
