Job Description

Responsibilities

• As a Backend Intern at Keeplist.io, you’ll dive deep into backend development while contributing directly to production-level systems
• You’ll be working with Python, Django, AWS, and Kubernetes to build scalable APIs, enhance platform performance, and integrate AI features
• This is a role where your code will be deployed to real users, giving you the opportunity to see the impact of your work
• You’ll collaborate directly with the founders, gaining valuable experience across backend development and cloud infrastructure, all while being part of a supportive team that values autonomy and accountability
• Develop and maintain scalable backend APIs using Python and Django
• Work on integrating AWS services, including Lambda, EC2, S3, and RDS, to optimize backend performance
• Help manage and deploy infrastructure using Kubernetes and Docker
• Collaborate with the AI team to implement AI-driven features into the backend
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code, while debugging and resolving issues
• Participate in the design and optimization of database systems and backend architecture to handle large-scale data
• Deploy backend updates and features directly into production environments

Requirements

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Proficiency in Python and experience with Django or Flask frameworks
• Familiarity with AWS cloud infrastructure (EC2, Lambda, RDS, S3) and basic knowledge of Kubernetes
• Understanding of RESTful API design and implementation
• Experience with version control systems like Git
• Enthusiasm for learning new technologies and working on production-level code
• Ability to collaborate closely with a small team and take ownership of tasks
