Job Description

Objective

I am seeking a skilled web developer to design and build a WordPress-based website for my business that assists customers with buying items. The website will provide information about my services, accept payments, collect detailed customer requests, and offer customer portals for ongoing communication. The site should combine design and functionality elements similar to example websites I will provide.

Scope of Work

1. Design & Layout

• Clean, modern design inspired by examples of websites I will provide with engaging graphics and intuitive layout.

• Top navigation bar with drop-down menus like example websites I will provide, for easy access to service information.

2. Functionality

• User Account System: Allow customers to create accounts, log in, and access a personalized portal.

• Payment Integration: Secure payment gateway integration (e.g., Stripe, PayPal) for accepting payments online.

• Service Selection and Routing Logic:

• Customers select from different service levels (e.g., “Know the service I Want,” “Need Help Finding correct service”).

• Based on their selection, customers are directed to a relevant form page to provide specific service preferences. Options are chosen through dropdown menus

• Ensure smooth flow between pages with conditional routing.

3. Fillable Forms & Notifications

• Interactive Forms: Customers fill out detailed forms with drop-down menus and checkboxes for service preferences.

• Automated Notifications: System sends email notifications when a customer completes a form and payment, alerting us to new orders.

• Backend Dashboard: Track and manage customer requests and payments via the WordPress admin panel.

4. Customer Portal Functionality

• Each customer account will include a private portal where we can share information and updates related to their item search.

• Ability to upload and share PDFs, emails, images, and seller offers within the customer portal.

• Two-way communication capability: customers can leave notes or comments within the portal.

5. Responsive Design & Optimization

• Mobile-friendly and fully responsive design to ensure seamless experience across all devices.

• SEO best practices applied to improve visibility in search engines.

6. Security & Performance

• SSL certificate setup and security plugins to ensure customer data is protected.

• Use of caching plugins and performance optimization to ensure fast loading times.

Deliverables

1. A fully functional, mobile-responsive WordPress website with the following features:

• Drop-down menus and graphics per design brief.

• Payment integration and service selection routing.

• Customer account creation and personalized portals.

2. Admin access to manage orders, forms, payments, and customer communications.

3. Training on how to manage the site post-launch (optional but preferred).

Required Skills

• Strong proficiency in WordPress development (custom themes and plugins).

• Experience with eCommerce integrations (WooCommerce, Stripe, PayPal).

• Expertise in responsive web design and UI/UX.

• Familiarity with membership/portal plugins (e.g., MemberPress, WP Customer Area).

• Knowledge of form-building plugins (Gravity Forms, WPForms) and automation tools for notifications.

• Understanding of website security and performance optimization.

Timeline & Budget

• Timeline: Please provide an estimated timeline for completion, including key milestones (e.g., design approval, payment integration, testing).
