Job Overview
NASK offers a SkillBridge Internship Program for transitioning military personnel to work as a Python Software Developer. This internship is designed to provide hands-on experience and training in developing software solutions for the Intelligence and Defense communities.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop, modify, and improve signal processing tools using Python
- Implement real-time signal processing algorithms on Linux-based SDR platforms
- Collaborate with Digital Signal Processing (DSP) engineers and other domain experts to develop new tools and improve existing ones
- Analyze and troubleshoot system performance to meet customer needs and requirements

Required Skills and Qualifications
• Must be transitioning US Military personnel with COMMAND'S approval for this program
• In lieu of a degree, relevant work experience
• Ability to quickly learn new software and technical subjects
• Work well in both a team environment and executing individual tasks
• Development of systems for the Intelligence and Defense communities
• Python experience
• Comfortable in a Linux development environment

Preferred Qualifications
• 3-5 years Python work experience
• Any GUI development experience (Qt/PyQt would be ideal)
• Experience with Python data science libraries such as Pandas, Numpy, and Scipy
• XMIDAS familiarity
• C/C++
• Code Management (Git would be ideal)
• Familiarity with the Atlassian tools (JIRA, Stash, Confluence, and Jenkins) and Gitlab
• Ability to analyze and improve the performance of existing algorithms using various methods (refactoring optimization, multi-threading, use of performance analysis tools)
• Knowledge of multi-threaded signal processing algorithms in Python/C++ on Linux hosts
