Data Engineer Beta
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining data pipelines and systems to support data analytics and business intelligence initiatives. This role requires a deep understanding of data engineering principles, strong programming skills, and the ability to work in an agile environment.
Active Secret clearance is required.
Key Responsibilities
• Design and implement scalable data pipelines to extract, transform, and load data from various sources.
• Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand data requirements and optimize data delivery.
• Maintain and optimize existing data processing architecture for performance and reliability.
• Conduct root cause analysis for data issues and implement solutions to prevent recurrence.
• Ensure data quality and integrity through rigorous testing and validation processes.
• Participate in agile development processes and contribute to sprint planning and retrospectives.
• Document data architecture and processes for knowledge sharing and compliance.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in pipeline engineering and data engineering roles.
• Strong programming skills in Python, SQL, and Java.
• Experience with PySpark and Apache Spark for big data processing.
• Familiarity with root cause analysis and data quality frameworks.
• Active DoD Top-Secret Clearance is required.
• Experience working in an Agile environment and understanding of Agile methodologies.
• TS/SCI clearance is a plus.
