Responsibilities

• This work will be done entirely off-platform (sandbox environment) with an emphasis on reusability, clean structure, and discretion
• You will not need access to the full business concept—your role will be to construct and test individual components that can later be integrated into the master application
• Think of this as building the parts of a machine before seeing the machine
• Build reusable React Native components with conditional navigation and user flow
• Develop back-end endpoints (Node.js) for storage, authentication, and media handling
• Design and implement a media upload flow (with offline capabilities & cloud sync)
• Integrate third-party services (cloud storage, CDN, video processing APIs, etc.)
• Maintain version control using GitHub in a sandboxed repository
• Tools: GitHub, Zapier, n8n (for automations), Stripe (for future upgrades)
• Media compression & upload flow to cloud storage
• Branded slide overlay & transitions (for use in short-form content)
• Modular recording tool reusable across different sections of the app
• You’ll be building features based on limited briefings and won’t have access to the full product strategy—discretion and modular thinking are essential

Requirements

• We are seeking a skilled, trustworthy full-stack developer to build core modular features for a confidential mobile-first application using React Native and Node.js
• Collaborate via Slack, Loom, or Trello depending on preference
• Frontend: React Native, Expo (if needed)
• Storage: Firebase / AWS S3 / Supabase (open to your suggestion)
• Auth: Firebase Auth / Magic Link / JWT
• 3+ years experience in React Native & Node.js
• Experience with media-heavy apps (photo/video capture, uploads, compression)
• Understands how to build offline-first apps with deferred upload
• Ability to work without seeing the full project, and sign a strict NDA
• Familiar with design systems or component libraries
• Comfortable working independently and communicating clearly
• Tap-to-record video feature using native phone camera
• Slide-based Q&A interface that records responses clip-by-clip
• Willingness to work in sandbox without full visibility (yes/no)
• Willingness to sign NDA (yes/no)
