Django Developer contract for Cisco job at Django Rest Framework. Los Gatos, CA.
We are seeking a highly skilled Backend Developer to join our team at Cisco on a contract basis. In this role, you will work with a team of developers to contribute adding features in an existing App to deploy audio, video and text Surveys and data collection tasks. The ideal candidate should have experience in developing web applications, strong skills in Python, MySQL, OOP and a passion for creating high-quality, scalable solutions.
Requirements
Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in Django, Python, and MySQL.
• Experience with Django REST Framework (DRF) for API development.
• Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).
• Proficiency in Docker and containerization.
• Familiarity with version control Git.
• Write and maintain comprehensive documentation for setup, deployment, usage, and API.
Experience:
• Proven experience in developing and deploying Django applications.
• Experience in writing and maintaining unit tests for models, views, and APIs.
• Experience with AWS services such as RDS, S3 and Lambda*.
Soft Skills:
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a team and collaborate effectively with other developers, UX designers, and project managers.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience working with Audio, Video Data in Web Apps.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools like GitHub Actions.
• Knowledge of front-end technologies such as JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
General aspects to consider:
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Availability to work 6-8 hours daily within the CET timezone.
• Good Internet connection.
