Job Description
Seeking a backend NodeJS Developer with extensive experience building and developing full-scale applications, as well as some experience with DevOps. This position is with a small, motivated and independent team of developers, to continue to develop an existing fintech application by adding features and integrations with external APIs and services, as well as enhancing and extending the existing DevOps flows.
Primary Job Duties
• Integrating with additional external APIs and services
• Adding features to an existing NodeJS application
• Working with existing back-end services and components to extend existing functionality
• Working to enhance and extend DevOps workflows and CI/CD
• Working with a variety of GCP services to move existing functionality of the application to managed services
About the Candidate
The candidates must have strong knowledge of AND hands-on experience with the following technologies:
• 3+ years of working with modern JavaScript and NodeJS
• Integration with SQL databases (MySQL preferred), as well as some experience using SQL
• Integration with external APIs and services
• Writing unit and integration tests
• Working with large codebases
• Some experience with DevOps
Knowledge of and experience with the following technologies is desirable, but not required:
GCP
Objection.js and Knex
Nginx
MochaJS
Gitlab CI/CD
Docker
VueJS
Experience with fintech or payment processing technology
PCI compliance
