Job Description
Looking for an immediate start. This role is supporting our Managing Editor to fix up website.
About the Role
Will work solely on Website so must have basic wordpress. Must have extensive experience editing website and prefer basic design skills to pick up problems with images and minor design work. Knowledge of marketing and specifically SEO a bonus. Must be able to see the work from a User persepctive. The editor uses the organisation's Style Guide to ensure consistency and compliance. Documents must have a singular voice that effectively represents the organisational style and approach of GGSA’s products.
Examples of documents that get edited and formatted:
- Product pages.
- Marketing collateral.
- Website content.
Essential Criteria
- Experience using Grammarly.
- Relevant experience in professional writing, editing and publishing
- Experience working with educational or academic content written by subject matter experts in a university or publishing environment
- experience editing websites using Wordpress
- Able to spot branding and formatting inconsistencies and fix.
- Ability to provide advice to specific authors through track changes to ensure they not only fix the mistakes but learn the rules so they do not continue to make repeat mistakes.
Desirable Criteria
- Experience using Learn Dash.
- Experience with copywriting.
