Job Description
Expert Developer for Server Configuration, Website Migration, and Restoration
We are seeking an expert developer with extensive experience in server management, website migration, and DNS configuration to assist us in the following tasks:
Scope of Work
Fix Server Configuration Issues:
Diagnose and resolve existing server configuration issues on the current DigitalOcean Droplet.
Optimize server settings for performance and security.
Implement necessary patches and updates.
Website Migration:
Migrate the entire website, including all files, databases, and configurations, from the existing DigitalOcean Droplet to an AWS EC2 instance.
Optimize AWS EC2 configurations (e.g., storage, compute, and security groups) to align with website requirements.
Domain Connection:
Update DNS settings to point the domain to the new AWS EC2 server.
Verify and test that the domain is correctly resolving to the migrated website.
Implement SSL certificates for HTTPS if not already configured.
Website Restoration:
Ensure the website is restored to its original state post-migration.
Verify that all functionalities (e.g., forms, APIs, integrations, payment gateway, smtp email) are working as intended.
Test the website for performance, responsiveness, and security on the new server.
Required Skills & Experience
Proficiency in server management on DigitalOcean and AWS EC2.
Expertise in server configurations (Linux/Ubuntu, Apache/Nginx, MySQL/PostgreSQL).
Proven experience in website migration, including handling databases and server setups.
Knowledge of DNS management and domain configurations.
Familiarity with SSL/TLS implementation.
Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
Timeline
The project is expected to be completed within 2-7 days.
