Job Description
Basso Marketing Agency, an award-winning full-service marketing agency, is seeking a Front End Wordpress Developer to join our team in downtown Rochester, Michigan.
The ideal candidate will have experience developing WordPress-based websites using a variety of methods. The ideal candidate will be experienced developing custom WordPress themes from scratch, as well as using various page builders and working with modern templates and plugins. This candidate should also have experience in modern web technologies such as jQuery, CSS, SQL, HTML, PHP and other relevant languages. Experience designing websites and working with Adobe products such as Photoshop is a plus.
Responsibilities:
• Involved in meetings with clients to determine project requirements, design ideas, and development methods
• Work with internal design and development teams to develop overall look and feel of websites
• Help develop websites using WordPress and other CMS programs as required
• Update and maintain current websites with client requests as needed
• Integrate and maintain industry-standard plugins and templates as required
Requirements:
• Expert in WordPress-based websites
• Experience in developing websites using both hand-coded methods and WordPress page builders such as Divi and Elementor
• In-depth knowledge of Adobe CS programs
• Experience in programming languages: HTML, CSS, jQuery, PHP, and responsive frameworks
• Experience with database technologies and how it relates to WordPress websites
• Experience with Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager, and how to integrate tracking into websites
• Experience with modern web design techniques, including mobile-first and responsive design
• Proficient in client communication. Must be able to comfortably talk with clients to convey insight and recommendations
• Maintain an ongoing awareness of current design and development trends and technologies
• Must be organized and able to handle multiple clients simultaneously
• Must be able to meet project timelines
