Frontend Developer - Clearance Required

We are seeking a Frontend Software Developer to work with our MARS Infrastructure Team!

In this role, you will join a collaborative, Agile team contributing to the development of frontend solutions using technologies, such as Vue, JavaScript, and TypeScript. The ideal candidate is comfortable practicing Agile methodologies and familiar with the software development lifecycle, from user requirement generation to automated tests and deployment.

This is a hybrid role with flexibility to work from home the majority of the time; however, onsite attendance at one of two SCIF locations (either in Reston, VA or Joint Base Anacostia Bolling) will be required 2-3 times per month to support implementation and testing tasks.

Responsibilities include:
• Design, develop and deliver modern secure software applications to enable the intel mission
• Troubleshoot defects, deduce root cause, and implement mechanisms to prevent reoccurrence and mitigate offshoot issues
• Analyze and test programs and products before formal launch
• Collaborate with team members to determine best practices and client requirements
• Efficiently divide and conquer software development tasks with other developers
• Ensure software security by developing programs to actively monitor the sharing of private information
• Actively seek ways to improve business software processes and interactions

Here's What You Need:
• At least 3 years of experience as a Software Engineer using modern and open-source technologies and frameworks such as JavaScript, TypeScript, Vue, React, and Angular.
• At least 3 years of experience developing distributed web applications with emphasis on frontend development using JavaScript and Vue.
• 3+ years’ experience with Linux, Git, Jira, Confluence, and Artifactory
• Knowledge of API best practices
• Experience in Agile development technologies
• Outstanding collaboration and communication skills are essential

Security Clearance:
• Minimum of an active Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI with Polygraph, as required

Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent experience
• Minimum of five years of active, frontend development experience acceptable in lieu of four-year degree in Computer Science.
