We operate with a "human-first" culture and an Agile DevOps mindset across all our functions. As Moodle's Premium Partner in the largest territory of the EMEA region, we're laser-focused on building and supporting e-learning platforms that enable Quality Education for All.
About the Role

We are seeking a talented junior PHP Developer with a strong focus on frontend to join our dynamic team in Greece. As a frontend PHP developer, you will be part of our Moodle devops squad for implementing online learning platforms. You will be involved in every stage of our agile devops process, from conceptualization, prototyping, development, testing, documentation, implementation, and supporting our products with our customers. This role requires both strong technical skills and the ability to work collaboratively within an international team.
Responsibilities
• Work collaboratively with the UI/UX team to bind user-facing elements with server-side logic.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
• Collaborate with the DevOps team as well as with Eummena's clients to analyze new features and arrive at an optimal solution for their implementation.
• Debug and continuously improve code, collaborating with the devops team with git-based commits and merge reviews.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues as they arise.
Requirements
• Experience as a PHP developer of at least 2 years, preferably attested by contributions to Github repos.
• Experience with frontend frameworks and libraries (e.g., React, Vue.js, Angular).
• Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git.
• Perfect English, both verbal and written.
• Fast learner, comfortable working in a highly agile, competitive, and distributed team.
• Valid work permit for Greece.
Nice to Have
• Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or similar disciplines.
• Experience in basic Linux shell commands.
• Experience with Moodle, including the development of new plugins.
• Experience in e-learning with Moodle specialization.
• Solid understanding of responsive design principles.
• Knowledge of Arabic, Dutch, or French (verbal and written).
• Self-motivated, with strong organizational skills and an inclination towards communication, inclusion, and visibility.
What We Offer
• Competitive salary and benefits package.
• Working as part of the Global team of a Premium Moodle partner, for highly visible EdTech projects.
• A great work environment in our offices at the center of Piraeus, with flexibility around working hours and location.
• Open source development and participation in global forums on a regular basis.
• Great potential for personal development, including several opportunities for targeted training and upskilling.
• A professional environment where you can thrive personally and as part of a great, multidisciplinary international team.
Opportunities
• Opportunity to work from home throughout the week, or remotely for extended periods.
• On-the-job coaching by the experts, continuous professional development and learning opportunities, training in cross-cutting topics (cybersecurity, agile devops, etc.).
• Opportunities to travel in Belgium, the Gulf region, and other international destinations to work closely with colleagues, collaborate within R&D projects, or participate in Moodle Moots and similar events.
