Responsibilities

• We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Full-Time Project Manager with Full-Stack Development expertise to join our team for a food ordering phone app project and support related web tasks
• This is a hybrid role where you will split your time between managing a small development team and providing technical expertise to maintain and improve our existing web application
• You’ll work closely with our existing backend and pre-designed UI/UX, ensuring the delivery of a high-quality app while enhancing our overall solution
• In this role, you will lead a team consisting of 3 frontend developers (outsourced from an agency), 1 designer, and 1 backend developer, ensuring smooth coordination and progress across all aspects of the project
• You will also work directly with me, the stakeholder, to hire a QA tester from Upwork after discussing and defining the testing requirements
• This is a full-time position (40 hours/week) requiring availability from 9 AM to 6 PM Philippines Standard Time (PST) with a 1-hour break (8 hours/day)

• Define project milestones, manage sprints, and track progress using Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Lead and coordinate a team of 3 frontend developers (outsourced from an agency), 1 designer, and 1 backend developer, ensuring alignment and resolving blockers
• Oversee the agency developers’ work, providing clear direction and ensuring deliverables meet expectations
• Work with CEO to define QA requirements and hire a QA tester from Upwork, managing their onboarding and tasks once hired
• Oversee the designer’s work on UI refinements and the backend developer’s efforts on API maintenance or enhancements
• Communicate updates to stakeholders and oversee app store submission (iOS/Android)
• Maintain project documentation and timelines using tools like JIRA or Trello

• Maintain our current web app built with Laravel (PHP backend) and Vue.js (frontend), performing bug fixes and minor updates as needed
• Recommend improvements to the web app and phone app solution, collaborating with me (the CEO) to enhance functionality, performance, and user experience
• Work with the backend developer to ensure seamless integration with our existing backend APIs
• Contribute to development (e.g., React for the phone app, Laravel/Vue for the web app) only if needed, such as during critical fixes or resource shortages
• Exclusivity: Willing to sign a commitment document guaranteeing no work for other clients or projects during company hours (9 AM - 6 PM PST)

Requirements

• Availability: Must work 9 AM to 6 PM Philippines Standard Time (PST), Monday to Friday (8-hour workday, 40 hours/week)
• Time Tracking: Must use time-tracking software on your device during work hours to log activity (Upwork’s time tracker is acceptable)
• Laravel: Proven experience maintaining or improving web apps with Laravel (PHP)
• Vue.js: Strong skills in Vue.js for frontend web development
• Minimum 5-7 years as a Full-Stack Developer, with at least 2-3 years as a Project Manager or Tech Lead
• Demonstrated success managing small dev teams (3-5 people), including outsourced developers, designers, and backend developers, and delivering projects on time
• Proficient in API integration, Git, and modern dev workflows
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum and tools like JIRA, Slack, or similar
• Strong problem-solving, strategic thinking, and communication skills (English fluency required)
• Location: Preferably based in India, but must align with Philippines time zone
• Experience with mobile app deployment (e.g., Apple App Store, Google Play)
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions)
• Scrum Master or PMP certification
• Familiarity with design tools (e.g., Figma) to effectively guide the designer
