Responsibilities

• Convert the existing 5-6 pages HTML site into a fully dynamic WordPress website
• Create a custom WordPress theme that closely follows the design and functionality of the existing HTML site
• Make the Contact Us page fully functional using an SMTP plugin for sending emails
• Set up and configure a News and Articles page that is fully dynamic, allowing us to easily add and update content directly from WordPress
• This content should automatically display on the site
• Integrate necessary plugins and widgets to enhance the functionality of the WordPress site, such as for SEO, contact forms, performance optimization, and social media integration
• Ensure that the website is responsive, performs well across devices (desktop, tablet, mobile), and loads efficiently
• Implement dynamic features like content management (e.g., blog posts, portfolio items, testimonials, etc.)
• to ensure the site can be easily updated by users
• Migrate content from the HTML site to WordPress, ensuring data integrity and proper structure
• Optimize the WordPress site for SEO, ensuring best practices for metadata, URLs, and content
• Set up basic security measures and ensure the website is protected from vulnerabilities
• Provide ongoing support and maintenance after the website goes live, including troubleshooting issues and providing updates

Requirements

• We are looking for a skilled and experienced WordPress developer to convert our existing 5-6 pages HTML website into a fully dynamic WordPress website
• The ideal candidate will have expertise in WordPress theme development, plugin integration, and a solid understanding of the latest tools and technologies to make the website modern, responsive, and fully functional
• Strong experience with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and PHP
• Proficiency in WordPress theme development and plugin customization
• Expertise with the latest WordPress tools and plugins (e.g., Elementor, WPBakery, Yoast SEO, Contact Form 7, SMTP plugins, etc.)
• Familiarity with responsive web design practices and creating mobile-friendly websites
• SEO knowledge and experience in optimizing websites for search engines
• Familiarity with website security best practices
• Experience with website migration from HTML to WordPress and the ability to ensure smooth data transfer and content migration
• Experience creating dynamic content pages in WordPress, including news, articles, or blog systems
• Ability to work efficiently, with attention to detail, and deliver high-quality results within the set timeline
• Knowledge of website performance optimization (e.g., caching, lazy loading, image optimization)
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with clients or teams effectively
