**Job Title:** Java + Python Developer
About the Role:
Optomi, in partnership with a leading financial organization, is seeking an experienced developer to support and enhance portfolio-level analytics and risk reporting systems. This backend-focused role involves API/middleware development, migrating risk models, and leveraging cloud technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
• Backend Services Development: Develop and maintain backend services, APIs, and middleware for financial risk systems.
• Risk Model Migration: Contribute to the migration of risk models to Multi Asset Class 3.
• Cloud Technology Integration: Leverage cloud technologies (message queues, S3, PostgreSQL, Redis, Airflow) for system optimization.
• Infrastructure Modernization: Overhaul and modernize backend infrastructure for enhanced performance and scalability.
• Team Collaboration: Collaborate with a team to deliver portfolio-level analytics and risk insights.
Qualifications:
• Experience: 5+ years of experience in backend development.
• Technical Skills: Strong Java expertise (heavily weighted) with Python experience, experience with cloud-based technologies and distributed systems.
• Additional Requirements: Financial experience and Bloomberg Port knowledge are a plus but not required.
• Soft Skills: Strong communication and problem-solving skills in a collaborative team environment.
