Sales Organization Description
Salesforce’s Platform and Agents AE roles focuses on driving multi-cloud success and adoption for Salesforce’s most strategic customers. Within this organization, Platform and Agents AEs enable 360-degree customer growth with an emphasis on advanced platform solutions like Agentforce, Data Cloud, Tableau, MuleSoft, Slack, and Salesforce Platform.
You may be aligned to the following verticals and/or clouds:
• Financial Services
• Healthcare & Life Sciences
• Retail & Consumer Goods
• Comms, Media, and Tech
In addition, Platform and Agents AEs collaborate with core Salesforce Platform teams to ensure strategic cloud penetration and adoption, delivering meaningful customer outcomes.
Day to Day
Platform and Agents AEs drive the adoption and success of Salesforce platform solutions across Salesforce’s most strategic customers.
They do this by:
• Executing a multi-year, global account strategy aligned with customer business priorities and IT modernization goals.
• Acting as the CIO’s trusted advisor, driving strategic technology initiatives that deliver long-term value.
• Building technology and economic efficiencies for customers by positioning Salesforce as the solution of choice.
• Delivering measurable value through outcomes-based selling, focusing on platform and ecosystem penetration.
• Partnering across Salesforce’s product, sales, and services teams to ensure seamless integration and execution of solutions.
• Showcasing deep product expertise in Agentforce, Data Cloud, MuleSoft, Slack, Tableau and Platform, as well as command of industry-specific trends to support decision-making.
• Building trusted executive relationships and surfacing trends, insights, and strategies to Salesforce’s leadership.
Preferred Qualifications
• 8+ years of experience in enterprise platform sales with a proven track record of driving multi-year strategic growth and high-value pipeline.
• Extensive knowledge of Salesforce Platform solutions, including Tableau, Data Cloud, MuleSoft, Einstein 1, and Slack.
• Strong ability to engage and influence C-suite leaders, particularly CIOs, to align Salesforce solutions with IT strategy and business outcomes.
• Expertise in multi-cloud selling and experience navigating complex customer environments.
• Proven track record of delivering outcomes-based, consumption-driven value and mitigating customer attrition.
• Demonstrated ability to drive operational excellence, prioritize high ROI opportunities, and forecast accurately.
