Role description
Key Responsibilities
• Design, implement, and maintain AWS infrastructure using best practices.
• Lead the development and version control of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
• Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines to automate infrastructure provisioning, code deployments, and validations.
• Collaborate with application teams to configure environments using tools like Ansible or SSM Documents.
• Ensure secure access controls and secrets management across cloud environments.
• Configure and scale monitoring, ing, and logging with AWS CloudWatch and other tools.
• Design and replicate VPC networking setups, including private/public subnets, route tables, and security groups.
Technical Requirements
1. AWS Infrastructure Expertise
• Proficient with core AWS services: EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, ELB, CloudWatch.
• Experience with AWS Glue, Athena, and EKS (if applicable).
• Capable of replicating and managing infrastructure using IaC tools.
2. Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
• Strong hands-on experience with Terraform (or CloudFormation).
• Proficient in managing IaC with version control systems (e.g., GitHub, GitLab).
• Able to create modular, reusable, and environment-parameterized templates.
3. Automation & CI/CD
• Design and implement automated pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, or AWS CodePipeline.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning, application deployments, and rollbacks.
• Familiar with Jenkins as Code and custom scripting.
4. Configuration Management
• Hands-on experience with Ansible, Chef, or AWS SSM Documents.
• Automate post-deployment configurations and application dependency setup.
5. Security & Access Management
• Implement secure IAM roles, policies, and manage secrets using Secrets Manager or SSM Parameter Store.
• Enforce least-privilege access and environment-specific role policies.
6. Monitoring & Logging
• Set up and manage CloudWatch log groups, alarms, and dashboards.
• Customize monitoring to match new environments and workloads.
7. Networking
• Configure and replicate VPCs, subnets, route tables, NACLs, and security groups.
• Ensure seamless inter-service communication and connectivity.
Preferred Qualifications
• AWS certification (e.g., AWS DevOps Engineer, Solutions Architect).
• Experience in multi-account AWS setups or Landing Zone frameworks.
• Familiarity with container orchestration (e.g., EKS, Fargate).
