Responsibilities

• This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining backend services that drive our digital platforms
• This will be a 100% remote role and will direct hire

• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs for seamless integration with digital applications
• Work with relational databases and write optimized SQL queries
• Utilize Git for version control and collaborate effectively on code reviews
• Troubleshoot and debug backend services to ensure smooth functionality
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an agile development environment
• Monday - Friday, standard business hours (based on local time zone)
• Occasional off-hours work may be required for deployments or urgent issues
• Fully remote role

Requirements

• The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in JavaScript frameworks, a problem-solving mindset, and thrives in a collaborative environment
• If you have at least two years of experience in React and Node.js development, are comfortable working remotely, and enjoy tackling technical challenges, we’d love to hear from you!
• We’re looking for someone who enjoys working with REST APIs, debugging code, and implementing scalable solutions
• Additionally, we appreciate individuals who are adaptable and willing to explore new technologies as needed
• Bachelor's degree in a related field, OR an associate degree with two additional years of relevant experience
• 2+ years of experience in backend development, focusing on JavaScript and Node.js
• Experience with Apache Ignite or other caching solutions is a bonus
• Background in the retail or restaurant industry is advantageous but not required
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screening
