Job Description

Role: Node.js Architect/Developer/Administrator

Location: Atlanta, GA

Duration: Minimum 8 months and could be extended based on performance

Required:

Top 3 skills: Node.js, JavaScript & Java Concurrent (Thread) Programming

Role Description:

Experienced developer/architect to drive adoption of Node.js and associated best practices in a Java/J2EE centric team environment.

Successful candidate should have in-depth understanding of Node.js internals (single threaded architecture, event driven async IO, approach for multi-core CPUs etc.) as well as Java/J2EE based multi-threaded architecture to be able to identify Use Cases where Node.js might be better suited over J2EE.

Hands-on Node.js development experience needed to work on Proofs of Concepts demonstrating Node.js implementation of identified Use Cases.

Required Node.js skills include server/service administration, configuration, security, performance tuning, load balancing, NPM, unit testing, continuous build/integration, and hands-on programming with key Node.js packages/APIs.

Experience with Agile methodologies, rules engines, NoSQL, Micro services, and other JVM programming languages would be a big plus.

Qualifications

At least 6 years of experience.

Bachelors in computer science or equivalent in experience.
