Role and Responsibilities
• Act as SPOC for the solutions/applications being developed, interacting with clients.
• Participate in scoping, estimating efforts, etc.
• Collaborate in coming up with milestone plans, key deliverables, assumptions, commercials, and dependencies.
• Develop an OMS strategy that aligns with client goals.
• Drive solution architecture and design, ensuring efficiency, reusability, and customization.
• Make critical technical decisions to meet client expectations.
• Define best practices and standards.
• Establish code review processes and perform code reviews for customizations.
• Ensure the team maintains high technical competence.
• Provide thought leadership by identifying business problems and proposing solutions and frameworks to monetize.
• Create and execute skill-building plans.
• Assist in hiring the right talent.
• Motivate and mentor team members.
• Contribute to white papers, blogs, case studies, e-books, etc.
• Support Presales and Practice activities.
• Monitor and optimize OMS performance for peak loads, low latency, and seamless user experience.
• Lead OMS integration with ERP, CRM, WMS, payment gateways, and e-commerce platforms.
• Customize the OMS platform to meet specific business needs, including order workflows, payment processing, shipping rules, inventory management, order routing, returns, and exchanges.
Skills and Experience
• 12+ years in OMS (IBM Sterling, Kibo, Salesforce OMS, Deck Commerce, etc.) and Java/J2EE, JavaScript, XML, XSLT.
• Mandatory experience in IBM Sterling.
• Proficiency with web services (REST & SOAP).
• Strong experience in designing medium to large enterprise applications.
• Knowledge of messaging systems (Kafka, MQ, RabbitMQ, JMS).
• Exposure to Authentication, Authorization, SSO using JWT, OAuth, SAML.
• Experience in Pre-Sales, defining end-to-end solution architecture, and driving proposals.
• Retail and E-commerce domain experience is required.
• Experience in code refactoring and performance tuning.
• Proficiency in Test Driven Development, Domain Driven Design, and clean code principles.
• Client-facing experience in matrix organizations and onsite-offshore models.
• Experience with estimation techniques (Use-case, FP, Story points).
• Ability to create presentations and demos for customers and management.
• Mandatory experience in Agile methodologies.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Experience in Practice activities like POC development, accelerators, tools/framework evaluation, and marketing contributions.
