About the Role
S Nimbus LLC is seeking an Junior PHP and MySQL Developer to join our team. The candidate must be a US Citizen. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and maintain web applications using PHP programming language and MySQL database systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, scalable, and secure web solutions.
Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain web applications using PHP, MySQL, and related technologies
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented PHP code
• Design and optimize MySQL database schemas and queries
• Troubleshoot and debug applications to resolve issues and improve performance
• Implement security and data protection measures
• Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements
• Perform code reviews and mentor junior developers
• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends
• Document development processes and technical specifications
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience
• 1-3 years of experience with PHP development (PHP 7+/8+)
• Strong knowledge of MySQL database design, optimization, and querying
• Experience with PHP frameworks such as Laravel, Symfony, or CodeIgniter
• Proficiency in front-end technologies (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript)
• Understanding of MVC design patterns
• Experience with version control systems (Git)
• Knowledge of RESTful APIs and web services
• Familiarity with Composer and dependency management
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with additional frameworks include ZendTo
• Knowledge of JavaScript frameworks
• Experience with containerization (Docker) and CI/CD pipelines
• Familiarity with AWS or other cloud platforms
• Understanding of Agile development methodologies
• Open-source project contributions
