The Senior PHP Application Specialist will be responsible for designing and implementing robust, scalable, and secure web applications using PHP (CodeIgniter and/or Laravel). The ideal candidate should have at least 10+ years of experience in PHP development and be proficient in JavaScript (jQuery or other) / CSS.
Primary Skills
• Hands-on experience with PHP, JavaScript, and CSS is required. Additionally, knowledge of MySQL, AWS, APIs/Microservices, and Event Driven/TDD (phpUnit etc.) is a plus.
Responsibilities
• Design, develop, test, and deploy high-quality web applications
• Maintain existing applications, identify areas for improvement, and implement optimizations
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely project delivery
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to the development of best practices
Bonus Skillset
• A knowledge of Python is highly desirable
