Senior Backend Engineer – Python Microservices - New York Hybrid (Onsite 3 Days/Week)

$140K–$180K + Equity - Fintech Series A Start-up

Are you a backend engineer who thrives in a cloud-native environment and wants to work on a new Fintech platform that scales to millions of transactions? Their highly collaborative 9-person engineering team has seen zero turnover in two years, and they’re looking for 2 new Engineers to join them for their next scaling jump, taking advantage of an opportunity to migrate from C# over to completely brand new Python Microservices.

What You’ll Do
• Develop brand new microservices using Python and other new technologies.
• Migrate existing C# backend to Python.
• Optimize and scale the platform for performance, reliability, and high availability.
• Work with AWS services (EKS, DynamoDB, Postgres, Lambdas, SNS/SQS, Kafka) to build a highly scalable infrastructure.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate services and support seamless data flow.
• Take ownership of key platform components, driving them from concept to production.
• Adapt quickly to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
