Job Description
• *Job Title:** Sr. Python Developer
• *Duration:** Contract through the end of the year
• *Location:** Hybrid, working from home two days a week and in-office three times a week in McLean, VA.
Job Description:
The hiring team relies on data analytics to inform software delivery decisions, primarily through Tableau dashboards. As a Senior Python Developer, your daily responsibilities may include:
• Back-end/ETL development using Python frameworks such as Django or Flask
• Data normalization, data structure build-out, and handling different data types
• Maintaining and managing Tableau-driven dashboards
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering (or equivalent experience), with advanced studies and degree preferred
• 5+ years of experience developing applications using Python, Django technologies, preferably in a Unix environment
• Hands-on experience with multiple technologies, including Python & middleware, scripting languages, and relational databases
• Good communication skills and ability to interface and influence with business lines and IT teams
Required Skills:
• Python: writing scripts and using frameworks
• ETL experience
• AWS framework: basic knowledge
• Rest API
• Django framework
• SQL
• PostgreSQL
Additional Requirements:
• Background check required
• Drug screen required
• Must be a W2 employee
• Must be authorized to work without sponsorship
