Role: Python + Java Developers
Location: Mclean, VA

Requirements
As a Java Full Stack Developer, you will collaborate closely with Development and Testing teams to design, develop, integrate, and optimize applications. You will work on a range of tools supporting trade analytics, pooling & securitization, trade capture, reporting, and reconciliation. The ideal candidate should have expertise in Java and Python, along with a strong understanding of modern development frameworks and tools.
Key Responsibilities:
• Engage with business users to gather requirements and contribute to system design.
• Develop applications, prototypes, and test automation solutions.
• Provide production support and troubleshooting as needed.
• Collaborate with team members and business partners to develop innovative solutions under tight deadlines.
• Predict effects of configuration changes, identify bottlenecks, and optimize performance.
• Resolve issues and fulfill ad-hoc requests to support business partners within the I&CM division.
Required Skills & Experience:
• Java Expertise: Hands-on experience with Java 8+ and J2EE technologies.
• Python Proficiency: Strong knowledge of Python, including its development stacks, ecosystems, frameworks, and tools such as NumPy, SciPy, Pandas, Dask, spaCy, NLTK, Scikit-learn, and PyTorch.
• Database Management: 2-3 years of experience working with relational databases such as SQL Server, MySQL, and DB2.
• Frameworks & Tools:
• 5-7 years of experience with Hibernate and Spring Boot.
• Experience with Spring-related modules like AOP, security basics, and routing.
• 3-5 years of experience with Angular.
• Containerization & CI/CD:
• Solid understanding of Docker and containerization concepts.
• Experience with version control tools like Bitbucket and Git.
• Basic knowledge of integration frameworks like Cucumber or FitNesse.
• Familiarity with Jenkins pipeline.
• Application Monitoring: Experience with monitoring tools such as Kibana.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in financial services or trading applications.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
