Title: Ruby on Rails Developer
Location: Sunnyvale, CA
Hire Type: Fulltime
Job duties
Take care of the development activities and trouble shooting activities at onsite
Work with the existing Ruby on Rails team to understand the overall implementation
Design future enhancements and evolution of clients platform
Participate in application development and provide technical guidance to the offshore development team
Ensure that development best practices are followed and adheres to performance, supportability and availability goals
Lead design sessions with client team
Conduct formal design and code reviews and provide reporting to internal teams
Develop and maintain design artifacts
Required skills
Senior technical resource with at least 6+ years of experience developing multi-tier, web based applications
Thorough understanding of the philosophy and design of Ruby on Rails
Expert in web technologies (HTTP, HTML, JavaScript, CSS)
Strong communication skills
Understanding of scalability challenges with Ruby and Rails
- Be able to deploy Rails application to production
Experience with software design and analysis techniques and tools
Experience in web development using the Ruby on Rails web application framework
Web Technologies (HTTP, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, JQuery), Linux, SQL, Oracle DB
