Job Description

Objective:

Ensure that a specific filter option (e.g., a category or tag) is selected by default before the page loads, so the default option is never shown.

Requirements:

Modify Search & Filter Pro behavior to preselect a specific value when the page loads.

Ensure the filter applies before results are displayed (not after page load via JavaScript).

Preferably, implement the solution using:

Shortcode settings (if possible), OR

Pre-set URL query parameters, OR

Custom PHP (pre_get_posts filter in functions.php)

Solution should be update-safe (i.e., not modifying plugin core files).
