Senior Back End Engineer

Location: Cincinnati, OH (OTR)

Onsite: 3 days a week

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Back End Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust back end systems that power our applications. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and efficient solutions while ensuring high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
• Design and implement scalable and efficient back end services using Node.js and TypeScript.
• Develop and maintain microservices architecture to ensure modular and reusable code.
• Collaborate with front end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers to promote best practices.
• Troubleshoot and optimize existing back end systems for performance and reliability.
• Ensure the security and integrity of data and services within the back end architecture.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and propose innovations to enhance the back end infrastructure.

Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of professional experience in back end development with a focus on Node.js and TypeScript.
• Strong understanding of microservices architecture and design principles.
• Experience with PostgreSQL and familiarity with cloud platforms like GCP.
• Knowledge of container orchestration with Kubernetes is a plus.
• Experience in building and deploying SaaS applications is preferred.
• Familiarity with AI integration and related technologies is a bonus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
