About the Job

We are seeking an experienced Backend Web Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Python/Django and experience with Perl.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our web applications using Python/Django and Perl.

Required Skills and Qualifications

We are looking for someone with:
• Demonstrable experience in web development using Python/Django
• Knowledge of HTML and CSS
• Experience with SQL queries
• Experience with git: creating and merging branches, committing, fetching, pushing, pulling
• Experience with ticketing systems: creating, maintaining, closing tickets
• Experience with automated testing: unit tests, functional tests
• Good communication skills
• Ability to learn new technologies and techniques as needed

Preferred Skills

We also prefer candidates with:
• Strong understanding of the Django Object Relational Mapping (ORM)
• Experience with continuous deployment tools: automated deployment, user-triggered deployment
• Experience with the Django data migrations mechanism
• Experience with Perl
• Strong mentoring skills
