Position Summary
As a Principal UI Developer, the successful candidate will be part of a team that will be developing new ways to look at data and the software that generates that data. The primary focus will be developing a front end using current technology such as Vue.js and D3 in support of a new application currently being developed. Within this position, there will be further full-stack development opportunities using corporate data stores, NoSQL databases, and middleware connectors and streaming analytics.
Essential Functions Statements
A strong candidate will possess a background in government AWS and expertise in working in an Agile Development environment. The ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment is a plus.

Supervisory Responsibility
This role has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.

This is a largely sedentary role; however, some physical abilities may be required.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position with typical working hours of Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Hours and work shifts may change in accordance with department and business needs. Exempt Employees must have the ability to be on-call and available as business needs require. Non-Exempt employees may be required to work over 40 hours per week with approval from the department manager.

Required Education, Experience and Certificates
Education:
A bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field is desired and may be used to substitute for four years of additional experience. A master’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field is welcome and may be used to substitute for an additional two years of additional experience.
Experience:
• At least sixteen years of general experience in computer science, computer engineering, mathematics, or a related discipline.
• At least five years of experience in software-intensive projects and programs for government or industry customers.
• At least five years of experience must have been as a software engineer supporting software architecture development, requirement analysis, process execution and evaluation, selection, and evaluation of COTS/GOTS tools and integration with both new and existing systems.
Preferred Education, Experience and Certificates
• UI framework (Vue, D3 preferred)
• Java, analytic development
• Docker
• Gitlab
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
Must be able to accomplish all duties with little or no assistance. Must have good command of the English language; oral and written.
Work Authorization/Security Clearance
Employee must be a US citizen. Employee must have and maintain a Top-Secret SCI with Full-Scope Poly Clearance Level.
