At Science Systems and Applications, Inc., we are seeking an experienced Python Developer to join our Advanced Software Technology Group at the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center. This exciting opportunity involves supporting the development of a cutting-edge AI/ML stack for creating Earth Systems Digital Twins.
Main Responsibilities:
• Contribute to the design and development of CREST, a framework for deploying TERRAHydro on NASA's Science Managed Cloud Environment.
• Develop backend software infrastructure for building climate and weather science applications using AI/ML techniques.
• Create cloud-based infrastructure and optimize code for efficient performance.
• Publish research findings in relevant journals and present at conferences.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field, with at least 5 years of experience in software development.
• Expertise in tensor-based software like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or JAX, and ML workflows.
• Demonstrated proficiency in developing with the Python ecosystem.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• US Citizenship or Permanent Residency, and ability to meet NASA IT security requirements.
