Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain web applications using React JS and Vue JS to ensure high performance and responsiveness
• Design and implement database solutions using PostgreSQL to support application functionality
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code in Advanced JavaScript to enhance application features
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define design and ship new features that align with business goals
• Troubleshoot and debug issues to ensure optimal performance and user experience
• Conduct code reviews to maintain code quality and share knowledge with team members
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve development processes
• Participate in agile development processes including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers to foster their growth and development
• Ensure that all applications are built to an appropriate level of quality for the stage (alpha/beta/production)
• Work closely with product managers and designers to understand user needs and translate them into technical requirements
• Contribute to the development of technical documentation to support ongoing maintenance and updates
• Engage in continuous learning and professional development to stay current with advancements in the field

Requirements

• Cognizant engineering is seeking a highly skilled Senior React JS Developer with 8 to 10 years of experience in React JS, PostgreSQL, Vue JS, and Advanced JavaScript
• The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the Education domain
• A minimum of 5 to 8 years of experience in React JS, PostgreSQL, Vue JS, and Advanced JavaScript
• A strong background in the Education domain with experience in developing educational applications
• Excellent English language skills both written and verbal
• A proven track record of delivering high-quality web applications in a hybrid work model
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and debugging complex issues
• Experience with agile development methodologies
• The ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with stakeholders
• A strong understanding of software development best practices and design patterns
• A commitment to continuous learning and professional development
• Experience in mentoring and guiding junior developers
• The ability to produce technical documentation to support application maintenance
