Responsibilities:
• Experience leading a team of engineers to solve complex business opportunities with software
• Lead the team’s organizational processes, such as planning, backlog refinement, and sprint reviews, to ensure effective collaboration and feedback
• Collaborate with product managers and designers to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Design technical solutions with little direction or guidance
• Proactively identify and address potential technical issues and bottlenecks
• Perform system analysis, troubleshooting, and debugging to identify and resolve integration issues
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement solutions
• Create and maintain APIs, rSpec testing suite, and middleware to facilitate data flow between systems
• Ensure compliance with security protocols and data privacy regulations during integration processes
• Troubleshoot and optimize application performance to provide an optimal customer experience

Qualifications:
• 8+ years of extensive rails knowledge, including familiarity with common challenges/solutions/technologies
• Knowledge of development best practices (Unit testing, CICD, TDD, Agile/Scrum, etc) and how to practically apply them to team operations
• Ability to work with incomplete requirements, tracking down missing information and background context
• Proficiency in the following programming languages Ruby with Ruby on Rails, Python, NodeJS
• Experience with SFTP/FTP, File, OAuth2, OIDC, TLS, SSH, etc.
• Knowledge of PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB, or equivalent databases
• Knowledge of caching
• Familiarity with rSpec testing framework
• Knowledge of RESTful API design and integration and knowledge of Postman
• Be a self-starter and able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Familiarity with Linux environments and Docker in general
• Strong communication ability to describe complex problems and solutions

Complimentary skills:
• Experience developing with ReactJS
• Experience with NewRelic
• Experience with AWS infrastructure
• Experience within fintech/startup is desirable
