About Us: OGK Creative is a leader in innovative web solutions, specializing in high-performance WordPress development. We’re looking for a Senior WordPress Developer to join our team, bringing expertise and creativity to our diverse range of projects.
Job Responsibilities:
• Custom WordPress Solutions: Build custom WordPress solutions adhering to strict design guidelines using PHP, HTML, SASS/CSS, and JavaScript.
• Site Maintenance: Assist the development team in maintaining various WordPress sites, ensuring they are up-to-date and functioning smoothly.
• Design Collaboration: Work closely with UI/UX designers to ensure the final product aligns with design standards and provides an exceptional user experience.
• Performance & Compliance: Develop with a strong focus on website performance and ADA compliance, ensuring all sites are fast, accessible, and user-friendly.
• Process Adherence: Follow and enforce best technology practices and workflows across all projects.
• Best Practices & Knowledge Sharing: Contribute to the development of company-wide best practices, standards, and knowledge sharing.
• Adaptability: Stay ahead of industry trends, learning new technologies and languages as required by specific projects.
• Client Solutions: Develop solutions based on client feedback, effectively communicating ideas and standards both internally and to clients.
Requirements:
• Experience: 3+ years of experience in developing custom WordPress themes.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficient in PHP, SASS/CSS, and JavaScript/jQuery.
• Working knowledge of Git and code collaboration tools.
• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite.
• Understanding of SEO best practices in web development.
• Experience with website performance optimization.
• Familiarity with accessibility and ADA compliance standards.
• Portfolio: Active portfolio showcasing relevant work (please include links). Bonus if using GitHub repositories provided.
• Attention to Detail: Strong focus on quality, efficiency, and maintaining clean, organized code.
• Prioritization & Execution: Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
• Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Organization & Time Management: Excellent organizational and time management skills, ensuring timely and efficient project completion.
Extra Brownie Points If You Have:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Advanced Custom Fields (ACF): Experience with ACF for custom WordPress development.
• WooCommerce Development: Experience in developing WooCommerce sites.
• Shopify Theme Development: Familiarity with Shopify theme development using Liquid.
• Graphic Design: A background in graphic design.
• Experience in Flutter, webgl/threejs, or bricks
• Experience with node, npm, and js/scss compiler
