Blennd is searching for a talented individual with a background in SEO content management and optimization, either in-house or at an agency. Ideal candidates will showcase strong expertise in executing organic growth strategies through on-page and technical optimizations, and content strategy. This role thrives in a dynamic team-based environment, so a willingness to collaborate effectively is essential.
As a successful candidate, you should have a solid understanding of SEO and the ability to analyze search performance of our clients’ websites, provide recommendations for improvement and execute on those initiatives, with a focus on content strategy and optimization. Your passion for helping businesses gain a competitive advantage through innovative SEO strategies and industry best practices will be highly valued. Previous experience working with UX/UI design, development, paid search, digital marketing, or content teams is preferred but not required. Ideal candidates have experience in tools such as Google Analytics, Google My Business, Google Tag Manager, Google Data Studio, Google Looker Studio and SEMrush to track ROI for SEO initiatives.
/ Responsibilities
The SEO Content Manager plays a critical role in contributing to the SEO strategies that drive business growth for our clients, both large and small, through content creation and optimization. Their primary responsibilities revolve around a diverse set of tasks, including implementing technical SEO solutions, collaborating strategically, conducting brand research, optimizing webpage content, refining meta data, and providing comprehensive analytical reports. By staying up-to-date with the latest industry trends and research, the SEO Content Manager ensures our clients’ organizations achieve optimal online visibility and success.
The SEO Content Manager diligently addresses project criteria and applies SEO best practices to deliver outstanding results for our ongoing SEO clients. They possess a deep understanding of both front-end and back-end SEO techniques, enabling them to provide high-quality content optimizations that yield tangible improvements through keyword research, content audits and competitive analysis. Regular deliverables include 301 redirect worksheets, technical audits, monthly reports, keyword research, sitemap structure enhancements, search engine configurations, index submissions, web core vital monitoring, and competitive analysis. Overall, the SEO Content Manager at Blennd is an integral part of our team, dedicated to elevating the online presence and performance of our clients through their expertise and dedication.
• Develop a strong understanding of goals and KPIs for each of our clients as it relates to SEO initiatives.
• Perform technical site health audits to provide insights, itemize issues, and implement fixes.
• Analyze organic search traffic and keyword ranking performance to provide valuable insights and recommendations.
• Generate custom SEO reports for client websites to provide highlights, identify strengths / weaknesses, and propose a plan-of-action.
• Assist in developing new organic search strategies to increase online visibility for client websites.
• Monitor and research SEO trends, Google algorithm updates, and new tools to create cutting-edge strategies.
• Manage web-based business tools such as Google Analytics, Google My Business, Google Tag Manager, Google Data Studio, Google Looker Studio and SEMrush to track return on investment for SEO initiatives.
• Populate optimizations, such as on-page content and meta data, onto the back-end of WordPress and other CMS platforms.
• Optimize back-end configuration of client websites, following Blennd’s SEO process, such as visibility settings, plugins, index, and post type indexes.
• Contribute to new website development by optimizing sitemap structure / URL slugs.
• Provide comprehensive keyword research including organic, competitor, and new target search queries.
• Create, test, and implement structured data schema markup on client websites.
• Facilitate the strategic creation of content to support the individual needs of our clients.
• Work alongside the SEO Manager to gain knowledge of clients’ brands.
• Optimize high-quality content covering a variety of industries, brands and products.
• Edit existing website copy to incorporate SEO copywriting best practices.
• Create a variety of deliverables for clients, including Excel workbooks, Word documents, PDF reports, and more.
• Configure new and existing client projects for performance tracking in online management platforms, such as SEMrush and Yext.
• Bring new opportunities and skills to the SEO team, such as backlink building, technical development, or partnerships.
• Communicate with SEO Manager and collaborate with other departments in order to get information necessary to complete projects and meet deadlines.
• Participate in client meetings or team meetings in order to increase understanding of company goals.
• Display genuine interest in services beyond SEO, such as marketing, social media, and website design.
/ Experience
• Must have professional experience with SEO in-house or in-agency.
• Must be proficient in Google applications such as Sheets and Docs and Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word.
• Must be able to interact and collaborate positively with fellow team members in a fast-paced environment.
• Must have quality written communication skills.
• Must have the ability to understand project needs and produce required deliverables.
• Must have experience working under pressure and meeting deadlines.
• Must have strong critical thinking skills and be able to problem solve.
• Preferred bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) or minimum four years experience in SEO field.
• Preferred experience with online tools, such as Search Atlas, MOZ and SEMrush, Google Data Studio, Google Search Console, and more.
• Preferred experience configuring Google Analytics properties and other reporting / data tracking tools.
• Preferred working knowledge of SEO best practices and industry standards.
• Preferred basic knowledge of WordPress CMS.
• Preferred basic knowledge of HTML, CSS and/or JavaScript.
• Preferred experience with content management, such as copywriting and editorial calendars.
Job Type: Contract / part-time position
Weekly Hours: 10-20 hours
Compensation: Compensation will range from $30-$45/hr based on experience
