Job Description

Responsibilities

• Duration: 8 weeks, 20 hours per week
• Location: Remote (Flexible hours, can be worked in the evenings)
• Communication: Primarily via email, with Slack access depending on setup
• The SEO Editor/Writer will work closely with an SEO agency, internal teams, and freelance writers to ensure high-quality, search-optimized content is produced and published efficiently
• Retrieve SEO content briefs from the agency and review them for tone, story, and alignment with the company's brand and product
• Submit briefs to a freelancing portal for content creation
• Edit freelance submissions, ensuring SEO optimization and brand consistency, and request revisions as needed within a ~5-day window
• Format and lay out final content in WordPress
• Coordinate with the Manager or Director for final approvals before publishing
• Flexible hours – work can be done in the evenings
• East Coast team collaboration is required but does not dictate working hours
• Communication will be primarily via email, with Slack used if access is available

Requirements

• This role requires strong experience in SEO content writing and editing, the ability to work with structured SEO briefs, and proficiency in WordPress for content formatting and publishing
• SEO content writing and editing experience
• Ability to write and/or edit according to an SEO brief
• WordPress proficiency
• Strong writing, editing, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
