Job Overview:

We are seeking a talented and experienced Shopify Developer to join our team in the retail sector. As a Shopify Developer, you will be responsible for developing, customizing, and optimizing Shopify-based e-commerce platforms for retail businesses. You will work closely with design, marketing, and product teams to ensure seamless user experiences, smooth e-commerce operations, and the implementation of features tailored to the retail industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Shopify Store Development:

· Design, develop, and maintain custom Shopify themes tailored to retail business needs.

· Implement custom features and third-party integrations for retail functionality (inventory systems, POS, etc.).

· Ensure a mobile-first, responsive design for an optimal shopping experience across devices.

Customization & Optimization:

· Customize Shopify apps and plugins to fit the unique needs of retail clients, including promotional campaigns, loyalty programs, and shipping integrations.

· Optimize website performance, including speed, SEO, and overall user experience (UX/UI).

· Collaborate with the design team to ensure branding, product displays, and store aesthetics are consistent.

Integration & Automation:

· Integrate Shopify with third-party software solutions, including ERP systems, CRM tools, and email marketing platforms.

· Automate inventory management and product catalog synchronization to streamline the retail operations.

Troubleshooting & Maintenance:

· Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues related to the Shopify platform, third-party apps, or integrations.

· Perform regular maintenance, updates, and security patches to keep the e-commerce site running smoothly.

Analytics & Reporting:

· Analyze customer behavior, sales data, and store performance using tools like Google Analytics, Shopify Analytics, and other tracking software.

· Provide recommendations for improvements based on data insights, including A/B testing and conversion rate optimization (CRO).

Collaboration & Support:

· Work closely with cross-functional teams (marketing, sales, and product) to ensure the e-commerce site meets retail business goals.

· Provide ongoing support and training to internal teams on using Shopify and related tools.

Requirements:

Experience:

· Proven experience developing and customizing Shopify stores, preferably for the retail industry.

· Solid understanding of the retail industry, including inventory management, product merchandising, and customer purchasing behavior.

Technical Skills:

· Proficiency in Liquid, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other front-end technologies.

· Strong knowledge of Shopify’s API and ability to create custom applications and integrations.

· Experience with Shopify Plus, Shopify POS, and third-party Shopify apps (e.g., Klaviyo, Recharge, etc.).

· Familiarity with version control tools like Git.

Problem-Solving:

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

· Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Communication:

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Bonus Skills:

· Experience with e-commerce analytics and reporting tools.

· Knowledge of SEO best practices for Shopify stores.

· Experience with UX/UI design principles, especially for retail websites.

Preferred Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

· 3+ years of hands-on experience in Shopify development.

· Experience in the retail sector or working with high-traffic e-commerce websites.

· Familiarity with agile methodologies and project management tools (Jira, Trello, etc.).
