Job Summary:

The Software Architect will function as a hands-on technical project manager and Senior Full-Stack Drupal Lead with deep expertise in Drupal, AWS, Azure, and container-based deployments. This role involves overseeing architecture, security, and development while mentoring the team.

Duties & Responsibilities:
• Serves as a Senior Full-Stack Drupal Lead.
• Extensive experience developing web systems using Drupal, AWS, Azure, and container-based deployments while addressing enterprise and integration considerations.
• Leads the analysis, administration, design, development, and testing of applications.
• Reviews and verifies web portal implementation according to best practices, performance, and security standards.
• Assists in planning and executing data migration and reporting activities.
• Creates, implements, and oversees technical process modeling, data modeling, and user interface designs.
• Works directly with end-users and SMEs to ensure application functionality meets their requirements.
• Mentors the development team to guide them successfully from requirements to delivery.
• Identifies marketplace plugins and/or develops custom connectors as needed.
• Designs and implements solutions integrating Drupal with federal systems (on-premises and cloud).
• Ensures web solutions comply with federal standards, including security and Section 508.
• Leads technical planning and requirements-gathering phases, including estimation, development, testing, project management, architecture, and delivery.
• Ensures compliance with product roadmaps, DOL enterprise/platform/solutions architecture, and provides recommendations for improvements.
• Ensures smooth operation of design meetings, daily scrums, and other development meetings.

Required Qualifications:
• Requires ten (10) plus years of hands-on full-stack experience, with a minimum of five (5) years in Drupal development, using Agile/SAFe methodologies, preferably in a federal environment.
• Must have Agile/SAFe and other relevant developer certifications or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency in AI-assisted programming tools, including GitHub Copilot, Gemini, or other AI tools approved by the Department of Labor (DOL).
• Demonstrated expertise in architecture, infrastructure, Dev UX, middle-tier development, database management, and DevSecOps.
• Drupal/Acquia Certification preferred.
