Position Overview: UberJets is looking for a talented and motivated Software Developer to join our development team. As a Software Developer at UberJets, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining our web and mobile applications that serve the needs of our clients and internal teams. You will work closely with other developers, product managers, and UX/UI designers to create innovative and user-friendly solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop, test, and maintain web and mobile applications used by both clients and internal teams.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement new features.
• Write clean, efficient, and scalable code, following best practices.
• Participate in code reviews, and troubleshoot and debug issues as they arise.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and technology advancements to ensure the UberJets platform remains cutting-edge.
• Ensure security and performance best practices are followed throughout the development lifecycle.

Qualifications:
• Reside in the Boston area and have reliable transportation within the region.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Demonstrated hands-on experience as a software developer or in a similar role, with a minimum of 1 year of experience in both web and mobile development.
• Strong skills in programming languages such as JavaScript/jQuery, Python, HTML, and CSS, along with experience in frameworks like Tailwind, Bootstrap, React, React Native Flask, and Django.
• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS and cloud hosting technologies, including Nginx, Apache, and WSGI.
• Familiarity with database management and database technologies such as SQL.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team.
• While NOT REQUIRED, knowledge of the AI space is considered a valuable asset.

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
