Job Description
THIS IS A "SWEAT EQUITY" ONLY ROLE FOR NOW UNTIL WE RAISE CAPITAL OR GET REVENUE.
About RevOptica:
We’re creating a platform to help marketers, sales, and revenue operations professionals at B2B companies to visualize and understand their buyers’ journeys with their company.
The challenge today is that while data about our prospect’s activities are available, they are found in various systems of records (such as CRM, marketing automation platforms, and other tools). In addition, because there are so many data points, it becomes difficult to truly understand the actions and activities that brought them down the journey to become a customer. By gathering all the activities along your prospect’s buyer journey with you and visualizing it, you’ll be able to gain insights that will drive decision making for your various go-to-market teams.
You can learn more at www.revoptica.com.
About The Role:
We are in the process of developing a beta version of the product based on conducting over 70 hour-long customer discovery/market validation interviews, and input from over 30 demos and 2 design partners. All signs point to a viable market opportunity.
We are now looking for a part-time Software Developer to work with our CTO in fast-tracking the development of our B2B SaaS product. Because we’re very early stage (pre-revenue & pre-funded), we can only offer equity since you’ll be joining as a founding team member (vesting & 1 year cliff applies). Once we raise funding or acquire revenue, then we can consider salary compensation. Thus, we’re looking for a Software Developer who has an entrepreneurial streak and is bought in to the vision of the company we’d like to build.
What We’re Looking For:
• Experience designing, developing, testing, and maintaining web applications using primarily JavaScript ES6+/Typescript, React, HTML5 and CSS.
• Usage of React Hooks to write components, manage state, and handle side effects.
• Hands-on backend development using TypeScript, MongoDB, NestJS, Containers and Orchestration (Docker and Kubernetes).
• Ability to integrate designs and wireframes within the application code.
• Experience with ensuring the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.
• Experience with React UI libraries like Material UI and React BootStrap.
• Startup experience desired
A Little About Me, The CoFounder:
I am a long time B2B SaaS veteran (18+ years). My last 16 years has been spent in various tech startups in Silicon Valley, from bootstrapped and early stage companies where I was employee #4 or #5 and launched from ground zero, to growth stage venture backed companies where I had the luxury of managing large marketing & go-to-market teams. One of the startups I was with (an ML-based predictive analytics company for B2B) was successfully acquired. My startup is based in the same space, so I know this market inside and out. Feel free to check out my LinkedIn profile here.
High Risk, High Reward:
It will just be the four of us for now, possibly another founding team member focusing on Data Science. Once we get traction after launch then we can raise some seed funding, apply to tech accelerators (I am a mentor at several of them), hire additional developers, etc. Thus, we need someone who has a high risk tolerance and is willing to work for sweat equity until a funding event, or when we start to get revenue. If this sounds like you, let's chat!
