THIS POSITION ALLOWS YOU TO WORK FROM HOME FOR 50 % OF THE TIME THIS POSITION WILL UPGRADE YOUR SECRET CLEARANCE TO TOP SECRET Our client is looking for a Secret Cleared Google Earth Enterprise Software Engineer to support a critical mission out of Herndon, VA. This position is a senior development position on the GVS program, and will act as the subject matter expert for Google Earth Enterprise baseline sustainment. This position will be responsible for providing technical guidance to a scrum team tasked with testing and updating the existing open source Google Earth Enterprise Server baseline to ensure continued security and software whitelist compliance therein. Successful candidates for this position will have training (BS) in a science or technology related discipline, multiple years of experience in software engineering, and previous experience working within a team environment utilizing Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) or other agile software methodologies and processes. The ideal candidate will also have experience with at least one of JavaScript (front-end frameworks preferred), Java, or the Python programming languages. Candidate is expected to collaborate cross-functionally with subcontractors, local engineers, and geographically dispersed teammates. Applicants should be self-motivated, fast-paced, curious problem solvers with a BS in Computer Science or related field, plus the following skills/experience: Minimum 3-5 years of software development experience including experience with at least one of these languages: JavaScript (front-end frameworks preferred), Java, or Python. Prior experience working with one or more of the following environments and applications: Red Had Linux, Postgres, AWS, and Apache Experience with Angular and/or Angular.JS Experience working on a Development team within SAFe or other Agile Release Trains Demonstrated experience working across multiple teams and job functions; bridging both sustainment and enhancement priorities Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong interpersonal skills Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, collaborative team environment
