Sr Backend Engineer - TypeScript, Node

Hybrid: 1-2 days a week on-site in Santa Monica (Relocation assistance is offered)

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Sr Backend Engineer with expertise in TypeScript and Node.js to join our dynamic development team. This role will focus on designing and implementing robust backend services, optimizing performance, and ensuring scalability. The ideal candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions that meet business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using TypeScript and Node.js.
• Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
• Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
• Implement and manage databases using PostgreSQL, ensuring data integrity and performance.
• Utilize AWS services for deploying and scaling applications in the cloud.
• Utilize Docker for containerization of applications and Terraform for infrastructure as code.

Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in backend development, preferably with TypeScript and Node.js.
• Strong experience with PostgreSQL and database design.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, specifically AWS.
• Experience with Docker and container orchestration.
• Knowledge of infrastructure as code tools, particularly Terraform.
