Job Description: Markets Engineering (under Markets Engineering is FX, liquidity orchestration, etc.)
Interest rate reimagined... how to work interest rates across all LOBs.
Features/Application: new platform build... a lot of work is completed (front end)... focusing on interacting with pricing calculators/APIs...
Core back end developer with some expectation to help on the front end
Majority of day is Jira-focused.
Required tech: Java Spring Boot
Plus tech: Angular is a plus
Using Spring Boot for Microservices, containerized in Docker.
Must have strong communication skills... working with both onshore and offshore team members.
Must show Initiative and ownership... will push back and ask for clarity to confirm.
Agile environment... 2 week sprints followed with sprint reviews/demos
Test driven development is a plus (not required to have experience with BDD/Selenium)
Not required to have hands on experience with Spark, Hadoop, etc.
Messaging is API-based (some MQ)
Financial services experience is a plus but not required. Saxon Global
