Akkodis is seeking a Sr Java Engineer for a Contract job with a client in Richmond, VA(Hybrid). The ideal candidate must have strong technical skills in Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices, and will be responsible for developing and optimizing applications in a hybrid work environment.

Rate Range: $48/hour to $51/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Sr Java Engineer job responsibilities include:
• Developing and optimizing applications using Java, J2EE, Spring Boot, and Microservices
• Leveraging AWS services to build scalable, reliable, and secure cloud-based solutions
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with business goals and technical requirements
• Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues while ensuring high-quality deliverables
• Continuously improving software development processes and practices
• Writing clean, maintainable code and conducting code reviews

Desired Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
• 6+ years of experience in software development, with a strong focus on Java, J2EE, Spring Boot, and AWS
• Proven expertise in building and deploying Microservices in a cloud environment
• Strong understanding of software architecture and cloud-based solutions, specifically AWS

Pay Details: $48.00 to $51.00 per hour
