We are looking for a Senior Magento Consultant with a strong Application Maintenance and Support (AMS) background to work onshore in the US. The candidate must have hands-on expertise in Magento 2 development, application support, and troubleshooting. You will play a critical role in maintaining, optimizing, and enhancing Magento platforms while ensuring seamless operations and performance for our clients.
This position requires strong communication skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to collaborate effectively with client stakeholders and offshore teams.
Responsibilities:
AMS (Application Maintenance and Support):
• Provide ongoing maintenance, troubleshooting, and support for Magento 2 platforms.
• Analyze and resolve production issues promptly to minimize downtime.
• Perform root cause analysis for recurring incidents and implement long-term solutions.
• Coordinate with offshore teams for issue escalation and resolution.
Magento Development and Enhancements:
• Customize and enhance Magento 2 modules and themes based on business requirements.
• Build and maintain responsive, cross-browser-compatible front-end designs using HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, LESS, and Knockout JS.
• Develop clean, maintainable, and optimized PHP code for back-end processes.
Code Management and Deployment:
• Use GIT and Bitbucket for version control and seamless collaboration.
• Deploy and maintain applications on AWS cloud infrastructure with efficient use of CLI tools.
Issue and Task Management:
• Track and manage issues, tasks, and changes using JIRA and related project tools.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery and support.
Onshore Client Communication:
• Engage with client stakeholders to understand requirements and provide technical solutions.
• Act as a bridge between onshore clients and offshore teams for clear communication and project alignment.
• Participate in client meetings, updates, and project planning sessions.
Performance Monitoring and Optimization:
• Monitor the performance of Magento applications and implement optimization strategies.
• Ensure system stability, scalability, and efficiency under varying load conditions.
Required Skills
• Strong expertise in Magento 2 development and support, including customization of themes and modules.
• Proficiency in PHP, JavaScript, jQuery, Knockout JS, and front-end technologies.
• Hands-on experience with HTML, CSS, LESS, Bootstrap, and responsive design development.
• Solid understanding of AWS cloud services and CLI tools for hosting and deployment.
• Proficient with GIT and Bitbucket for version control and team collaboration.
• Strong experience in issue and task tracking tools such as JIRA.
Desirable Skills
• Proven experience in AMS for enterprise Magento applications.
• Knowledge of Magento performance optimization techniques and cloud architecture.
• Exposure to US-based client environments and onshore project management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on client interactions.
