Sr. Python/AWS Developer

We are seeking a Sr. Python Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be specializing in Python and Cards & Payments domain. The role involves developing and maintaining high-quality software solutions in a hybrid work model. The candidate will contribute to the company’s mission by ensuring robust and efficient payment systems.

Location: Richmond - VA.

Cognizant will only consider applicants for this position who are legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship (H-1B, L-1B, L-1A, etc.)

Hybrid position must be at the office for at least 3 days.

Responsibilities

· Develop/modify new or existing functionality of a Python application.

· Make changes or deploy services in AWS Cloud.

· Understand existing application architecture and develop code that satisfies expected client standards.

· Acceptance Test Driven Development (write unit test cases, behavior-driven development (bdd) in python

· attend all agile ceremonies and participate actively

Qualifications

· Python developer with AWS experience, primarily in Serverless (lambda, step functions etc.)

· CICD pipeline (CDK, CFT)

· REST API,

· DynamoDB,

· Postgres Data structures and algorithms,

· Object oriented programming,

· Usage of commonly used AWS libraries (boto3, AWS power tools) for interacting with S3, SNS, SQS, Lambda,

· Step Functions, Cloud Watch to name a few, pytest cov for unit testing, ATDD & Performance testing
