Job Description
Looking to for a Staff Data Role where you will head up a major infrastructure migration from Spark to Databricks, influence the technical direction of the companies data strategy while working on a SaaS platform that enables millions of children to learn every day? Well look no further! A industry leading Ed-Tech firm is looking for a Staff Data Engineer to join their team and do just that. What we need from you - Hands on experience with DataBricks, EMR and DMS - along with a knowledge of the AWS stack as a whole. Wizard level skills in Python and SQL for building ETL. Experience with migration from one data platform to another (ideally from Spark).An understanding of modernn best practices for Data quality and governance. Proven technical leadership experience. Excellent soft skills with experience managing internal and external stakeholders. What you'll be doing - End-to-end implementation of Databricks across enterprise level data infrastructure. Guiding more junior Data Engineers on best practices and architecture. Influencing the technical direction of the data strategy at the highest levels of the business.Work arrangement - Fully remote positionNo sponsorship - GC or U.S citizens onlyExcellent benefits - 401K Matched/Health wellness insurance/Unlimited PTO/Paid parental leave
