Job Description
ActioNet is seeking a UI Developer for an immediate, REMOTE opportunity with occasional travel (10%) to the Washington, D.C. area. This role requires U.S. citizenship to be eligible for federal government security clearance.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Continuously enhance interface design based on user feedback, integrating insights to improve overall usability and satisfaction.
• Ensure full compliance with accessibility standards, including Section 508 and WCAG guidelines, to create inclusive user experiences for all audiences.
• Leverage new UI technologies and frameworks, such as React, Angular, and Vue.js, to build modular and reusable front-end components that optimize speed and efficiency.
• Collaborate with design teams to incorporate advanced UI/UX principles, including motion design, micro-interactions, and advanced CSS animations.
• Implement design systems and component libraries to streamline UI consistency and scalability across the platform.
• Experiment with emerging technologies, such as WebAssembly, CSS Grid, and Flexbox, to improve layout precision and performance.
• Utilize RESTful APIs and integrate front-end interfaces with back-end services, enabling dynamic content updates and real-time data rendering.
• Employ tools like Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD for design mockups, ensuring alignment with project specifications and client needs.
Basic Qualifications (required):
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Design, or a related field.
• Solid understanding of accessibility standards, responsive design, and UI/UX best practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with modern front-end frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js, and knowledge of their component-based architecture.
• Familiarity with Content Management Systems (CMS) like Adobe Experience Manager, WordPress, or similar platforms.
• Knowledge of design tools like Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD, and experience with building design systems or using component libraries.
• Interest in and adaptability to emerging front-end technologies, frameworks, and tools that enhance user experience and interface performance.
• Local candidate based on the East Coast, within commuting distance of Washington, DC.
