Unity Marketing & Playable Ads Developer

8Great Games is a mobile games company with millions of downloads and a passion for creative innovation. We're looking for a Unity Developer with strong experience in building high-performing

playable ads

and

marketing creatives

that drive user acquisition for mobile games. You’ll work closely with our

game designers, UA managers, and artists

to craft lightweight, engaging ads that showcase gameplay effectively and maximize conversion. Responsibilities:

Design and develop

playable ads

optimized for ad networks (Mintegral, Google, AppLovin, Unity Ads, etc.) Recreate simplified, bite-sized versions of game mechanics for marketing use Optimize performance (file size, memory usage, loading times) for ad platforms Work with UA teams to test, iterate, and improve ad performance Collaborate with artists and motion designers to integrate animations and effects Build and maintain a library of ad templates and reusable components Debug cross-platform issues and ensure compatibility across devices and browsers Stay up-to-date with ad formats, SDK requirements, and network guidelines. Requirements:

2+ years of professional Unity development experience Strong understanding of performance optimization for mobile/web builds Experience with WebGL builds and exporting Unity ads to HTML5 Familiarity with ad specs and constraints from networks like Meta, TikTok, and AppLovin Ability to reverse-engineer game mechanics into simplified, playable formats Experience working in Agile environments with tight deadlines Bonus: Experience using tools like

Mindworks, Luna Labs, Playable Factory, or GEEA Bonus: UI/UX and motion design sensibilities Nice to Have:

Prior experience in UA or creative testing Understanding of CPI, CTR, and CVR metrics Knowledge of creative A/B testing workflows Game art or VFX background Seniority level
